Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA or Linthicum, MD.
In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
•Support internal billing of enterprise services to other sectors utilizing those services
•Responsible for multiple steps of procurement activities such as obtaining quotes, creating procurement carts, tracking delivery/acceptance.
•Maintaining tracking of procured equipment and ensuring traceability
•Responsible for yearly capital expenditures and tracking
•Responsible for yearly maintenance renewals of software and hardware
•Actively participate in planning meetings and interface with stakeholders
•Responsible to create and update operating procedures and knowledge base documents that pertain to job responsibilities
•The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
•Effectively collaborate with multiple teams (i.e., contract administrators, cost analyst, and management) to process and resolve business transactions
•Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related experience OR a Master's degree at 3+ years of related experience
•Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance for continued employment
•SAP One Source and Business Warehouse (BW) software tool experience
•Experience with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
•Recent experience as a business or billing analyst in the defense industry
•Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.
•Experience with multiple contract types
•Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, policies and practices
•Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), FAR, CAS, IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
•Professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecommunications
