The Sr Analyst, Coop and Marketing Optimization will work collaboratively with the Director, FP&A and the VP, Marketing DSS to develop and establish a data-driven culture that ensures analytics heavily influence marketinginvestment and strategic cooperative partner revenue decisions. Specifically, this team member is responsible for providing corporate-level reporting, analysis, and insights to enable coop revenue growth, optimize marketinginvestments and drive overall revenue growth via:

  • Marketing Performance Metrics
  • All Business-Related Marketing Reporting
  • Coop and Ancillary Revenue Performance Analysis

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

This role will provide all marketing, coop and customer data related analytics across the various ALG distribution brands. In this role, it is critical for this Analyst to have the keen ability to not just measure and analyze, but to provide insights that provide measure revenue improvements. Specific responsibilities include:

1.Standardize nomenclature and KPIs to ensure consistency with all performance-related metrics across distribution brands

2.Automate reporting and build process efficiencies to minimize manual reporting

3.Develop, in collaboration with brand analysts, an automated marketing performance and revenue investment optimization dashboards that provides analysis/insights at the brand and aggregate level

4.Provide analysis and insights to brands and the executive committee to measure and ultimately maximize ALG investments via standard and ad-hoc analysis:

  • Aggregated Cost of Customer Acquisition Analysis
  • Marketing Channel Performance Analysis, including revenue and profitability analysis
  • Cross-Brand Marketing Performance Benchmarking
  • Incremental Spend Analysis
  • Predictive Performance Analysis
  • Competitive Marketing Analysis/Industry Media Trends

5.Provide insights and recommendations to ensure brands are optimizing partner revenue streams:

  • Spend vs. Save analysis
  • Hotel Chain Cooperative Investment Performance Analysis

6.Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly financialreports, including:

  • Ad Spend Analysis
  • Destination Coop Revenue Analysis
  • Hotel Coop Revenue Pacing Analysis
  • Cross-Brand Destination & Hotel Coop Revenue Benchmark/Opportunity Analysis
  • Monthly Marketing DSS Distribution Reviews
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis, as needed
  • Marketing DSS lead in support of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis – relating to marketing spend, key performance indicators and associated rev growth

7.Works closely with brand Marketing leaders to identify opportunities for better performance and be a champion of data by sharing ‘what the data is telling us’ and getting colleagues engaged in conversations about ‘how to use the data’ to improve overall outcomes

8.Working in a highly collaborate way with internal clients in the Marketing organization(s), to understand their business needs and respond with appropriate recommendations

9.Working with brand analyst counterparts to coordinate sourcing, aggregation, analysis and facilitate cross-brand best practice process

10.Work with Business Intelligence team and brand counterparts to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting of data

11.Able to travel up to 50% as needed between home office and Newtown Square (if not headquartered in NSO)

12.Stay abreast of web analytics trends and best practices, research and evaluate new tools/capabilities in the analytics industry 

13.Perform competitive analysis through quantitative and qualitative research tools

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degreerequired, preferably in Business or Marketing Analytics
  • At least 5years Data Reporting and Marketing Analytics experience, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry
  • Advanced analytics experience with Digital Media & Attribution Modeling; Web Analytic Tools such as Google Analytics Premium and Third-Party Ad Servers, such as Atlas and Dart.
  • Ability to provide strategic insight, analytics know-how and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to independently extract/query databases, build SQL pivots and develop/manipulate data cubes, as necessary.
  • Passion for analytics and desire to stay abreast of industry best practices
  • Strong written and verbal skills with ability to effectively present reporting data to business users at all levels of management
  • Travel and work schedule flexibility
  • Budget development and management
