Capital Markets Company Inc. seeks Principal Consultant in New York, NY to provide senior level management consulting services in support of client-oriented projects within the banking, capital markets and risk management practice areas. Advise on necessary processes and system changes required to realize client objectives, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance business efficiency to facilitate enterprise growth. Provide strategic direction to senior management, including assessing, identifying, and defining project initiatives and objectives to improve clients’ operational efficiency and effectiveness. Consult and liaise with senior level client management to identify and define business and regulatory readiness, strategic direction, issues, project goals, and suggest governance and strategic initiatives which meet the agreed upon specifications. Lead client delivery expectations in the design and implementation of strategic initiatives and business process solutions for ROI initiatives. Evaluate and formulate detailed project planning for business readiness work stream including risk management policies, procedures, guidelines, and frameworks. Provide management analysis and lead governance and operating model design, business process road map planning, data and business requirements analysis and gathering, and current and target state analysis, design, and governance. Assess progress, ensure adherence to timelines and delivery schedules, and align activities in the implementation governance strategies and integrated solutions to address client needs and regulatory requirements. Analyze risks and recommend appropriate internal control improvements. Study and provide findings regarding business line issues, potential risks, and action items. Structure and building quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses. Develop and present business proposals and reports and client outreach to effectively communicate business line activities, project findings, discuss project targets and updates with senior level executives. Provide input for responses (i.e. strategic approach and proposed remediation) to internal audit and external regulatory findings. Draft enterprise-level policies, procedures, and frameworks. Leverage banking, wealth and investment, capital markets knowledge, regulatory requirements knowledge, and business management principles to effectively deliver projects. Monitor and analyze regulatory requirements, their evolutions and operational implementation. Participate in business development by drafting proposals and participating in meetings with current and potential clients. Conduct training on change management principles and methodologies at client sites and internally.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management or a related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related position: utilizing structured functional specification tools including User Story (i.e. requirements gathering); creating business and functional specification documentation; utilizing Agile change management; utilizing process orientation and project management processes and methodologies; utilizing business and data analysis techniques including KPI, Current/Future state analysis, top-down/bottom-up solution definition, process mapping, and decision tree; applying the concepts of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance to identify, assess, mitigate and proactively consider emerging risks; and conducting Design Activity, including moderating effective workshops for client business users. Two (2) years of experience must include drafting enterprise-level documentation including Enterprise Risk Management policies and procedures; drafting audit and external regulatory responses including Audit Action Plans and MRA’s.
