As a PrincipalConstruction Manager, you’ll lead efforts to develop, sustain and grow business while managing current transportation projects. Headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA MNS Engineers, Inc. (MNS) provides comprehensive infrastructure services, including engineering, surveying, and construction management to the Transportation, Water and Government Services markets in California.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute and be responsible for business development efforts and strategies to achieve market sector financial performance metrics
  • Serve as Project Manager on projects as appropriate
  • Demonstrate effective leadership in resolving obstacles for delivery of complex projects
  • Supervise and direct CM project staff and teams in the Transportation division
  • Manage projects with efficient delivery and high quality standards
  • Execute and be responsible for business development efforts and strategies to achieve market sector financial performance metrics
  • Serve as Project Manager on projects as appropriate
  • Utilize highly effective communication skills with internal and client staff at multiple levels, including elected officials to ensure a high degree of quality, timeliness and profitability
  • Assist with significant program positioning and proposal efforts
  • Interface with internal partners to identify and track and pursue business opportunities
  • Attend industry events and conferences for client networking purposes
  • Assist with strategic staffing activities and recruitment efforts
  • Monitor and take responsibility for profitability
  • Visit clients to position for upcoming work
  • Other related duties and assigned or required

  • BA or BS degree or commensurate years of experience in role within industry.
