Job Description

We are seeking a hands on Senior DevOps Engineer that can work with technology clients and senior stakeholders to facilitate enterprise solutions for our DevOps Platform. This person should be able and willing to mentor junior members of the team to help drive solutions. The ideal candidate will have team building and management experience. Must be able to evaluate third party solutions and work with vendors to incorporate solutions into DevOps Strategic Platform. An advocate for innovative, creative technology solutions. Must have an enterprise first mindset for analyzing and solving issues for the firm.

Acts as SCM technical expert, responsible for defining the overall technical direction of the SCM department. Defines SCM plans and scripts/programs for the most complex configurations. Standardizes the use of tools, technology and/or business expertise in relationship to SCM approaches. Assists in defining standards, processes and procedures for the use of technology within the department. Defines and approves the process for metrics collection and analysis across all applications. Analyzes data and produces progress reports for strategic projects. Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies and outcomes. Interacts directly with clients and upper management regarding project activities. Contributes to the achievement of Software Configuration/Release Management objectives.

Qualifications

Subject matter expert on building and maintaining DevOps Platform
Must collaborate with other software engineering teams to influence and shape the design process and product development
Demonstrated Hands-on Experience with release process and management in the Azure cloud
Experience leading the design and implementation of tools and pipelines that help automate builds and releases
Will need to manage and facilitate engineering and release plans, execution & workflow
Must effectively communicate designs and implementation within the team and across other groups across the company
10 + years of industry experience
Python/shell scripting experience(5+ years)
Java programing experience ( 5+ years)

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experiencerequired, advanced degree is preferred 10-12 years of experience in a systems SCM environment, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
