Job Description
The Principal Project Automation Specialist primarily provides project support for the Intergraph SmartPlant™ suite of technical solutions in addition to other enterprise project automation technology. The technical specialist duties provide leadership for end user project support, project configuration, or special project modifications required for Intergraph SmartPlant™ systems. Additionally, the position provides technical configuration, analysis, evaluation, and office support for Intergraph SmartPlant™ technology and works with the Project Information Manager (PIM) or in some cases the Project Manager (PM). This role analyzes technical implementation or configuration issues with regard to project execution system implementations.
• Provide technical configuration and office support for the Intergraph SmartPlant™ suite of technology in conjunction with the office Project Automation Manager
• Manage the department as well as develop and manage Project Automation Specialist (PAS) functional initiatives and new system implementations
• Contribute to, promote, and ensure effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
• Provide direction and guidance for Project Automation Specialists providing configuration and office support for the Intergraph SmartPlant™ technology
• Work with the Project Information Manager (PIM) to analyze any technical implementation or configuration issues for the Intergraph SmartPlant™ technology
• Perform all Project Automation Specialist related functions related to the technology(s) supported

Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty (20) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Participate in project peer review/gate review meetings to mitigate potential execution risks
• Support Excel To Win (ETW) Strategies
• Support Business Transformation & Innovation (BT&I) initiatives
• Coordinate and support Center of Excellence (COE) location(s)
• Perform specializations which may include Project Data Analytics and Project Development Analyst activities
• This position is designed to be performed at one of the Company’s main offices; however, a US remote or hybrid work arrangement may be considered for the preferred candidate.
Preferred Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering, discipline technical support, or computer science is preferred or equivalent technical experience
• Eighteen (18) years experience in project, Information Technology or Automation
• Decisive self-starter working in a fast paced global environment
• Working knowledge of Information Technology environments including desktop environments, infrastructure, security and software development
• Comprehensive knowledge of SmartPlant™ suite of tools
•Ability to design Smartplant data integration workflows to meet client deliverables
• Implementation and management of automation and engineering technology in a client-server environment
Experience with configuration of Smartplant integrated environments, including SmartPlant Foundation or SDx
• Vendor certification in Automation/Information Technology/Information Management technologies (when available)
Salary Range
125,000 to 231,500
