Direct management of staff in planning, overseeing and evaluating the activities and focus of this nonprofit organization. Serve as primary representative and spokesperson and develop support for its mission. Represent company with the community, media, donors and other agencies. Experience dealing with the media and the public in a high-visibility position. Must have extensive personal contacts with local business and community leaders.
Maintain and grow company as required to meet statewide needs. Evaluate existing policies, programs and services; lead improvements and/or development of new policies, programs and services as needed. Ultimate responsibility for property and assets assigned to or in the custody of company. Determine long-range and annual budget needs and strategic plans in consultation with Officers, management and Board of Directors. Approve capital expenditures and review fiscal information with Officers regularly. Provide leadership to staff through establishment of goals and develop administrative and operations standards by which goals are met. Promote organization culture to foster open communication, teamwork appreciation and passion for mission. Liaison with Board of Directors to ensure they receive current, complete and accurate organization reports. Communicate the mission and services to the public, agencies, media, donors and other interested individuals.
Bachelor?s degree in business management or related field and 3years minimum management experience OR 8years minimum directly related experience in management. Senior nonprofit management a plus.
Experienceworking with a Board of Directors. Proven record of success in leading management-level staff to achieve ongoing goals. Experience developing, administering and maintaining budget parameters. Strong leadership skills with positive outlook, integrity and compassion. Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with community groups and organizations as well as connect and communicate easily with staff at all levels.
