Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting
    • Provides owners and architects with project budgeting information, material availability, constructability reviews, and design viability
    • Develops and tracks project budget from initial concept, through design development, until time of bid
    • Works closely with the Clark project team to produce comparative cost analysis, value engineering, site logistics, and scheduling information for the client
    • Aids in the formulation of an estimated contract amount prior to the completion and bidding of complete working documents
    • Develops relationships with owners, architects, and engineers to bring repeat business to the company
  • Estimating
    • Compiles a qualified bidder list, conveys invitations to bidders, solicits bids
    • Solicits minority subcontractor/supplier participation
    • Collects and evaluates proposals from subcontractors for the scope of work
    • Prepares the overall bid proposal
    • Quantifies and prices labor and materials required for project bids

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience
  • Dedicated to winning work and willing to take pride and ownership of work product
  • Field experience is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to either lead or be a part of a team for multiple projects and pursuits
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Must be detail oriented, technically sound and have good communication skills
  • Applicant must be familiar with both conceptual and self-perform estimating
