Pre-Sales Consulting Sr. Manager

  • FICO has an opportunity for a Pre-Sales Consulting Sr. Manager at our facility in Coral Gables, Florida. The primary duty of the Pre-Sales Consulting Sr. Manager is to drive large solutions for FICO by bringing the appropriate applications, tools and analytics together to create software solutions that meets strategic needs of our clients on any arena that requires complex decisioning. This position will collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support defining the right solution to meet customer needs. Responsible for targeting, positioning, and support selling FICO solutions across a diverse customer base in Latin American and the Caribbean region. This position will work cross-functionally with Product, Professional Services, Global Consulting, Service Delivery and Analytics to architect and implement these large decisioning solutions. Specific duties include: 1. Leverage banking/financial services industry experience risk management market supporting sales on selling risk solutions, including deep knowledge of banking process, including all customer lifecycle like customer prospecting, credit originations, customer management, collections, CRM plus payments and investments decisions; 2. Consult with clients in conjunction with sales staff to craft and proof solutions based on FICO's decisioning product offerings integrated to client's Legacy Systems; 3. Interact, collaborate and listen to customers throughout the selling process to ensure their needs are properly understood and addressed; 4. Create and deliver detailed and customized product demonstrations, helping to craft sales strategies and tactics when appropriate; 5. Collaborate with customers, engineers, team members and Sales & Service peers by bringing significant technical and engineering experience in communication protocols, operating system recommendations, hardware sizing, performance optimization, stress testing, high availability/DR architectures) to the sales and delivery process ensuring optimal solutions; 6. Design and create proofs of concept, respond to requests for information or pricing and prepare sales package proposals; 7. Partner with Product and Technology Organization (PTO) to bridge technology needs and enhancements; 8. Effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, from technical resources to C-level executive management; 9. Apply global (Europe, Middle East and Africa) knowledge from working with client risk teams and risk technology solution requirements of the risk market on how the business is being made and their relative value to Financial Services business in the Latin American Region; 10. Develop and manage to a territory plan focused on Risk-based solutions that generates sufficient pipeline to meet quota targets, including quarterly forecasting and capturing win/loss data; 11. Leverage experience in consulting to successfully support sales and deliver creative solutions that add value to the client's business objectives; and 12. Provide supervision to more than 5 Pre Sales Consulting Staff members. Skills and technology used in this position include the following solutions: WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat, Oracle Database, MySQL, MS SQL Server, FICO Blaze Advisor, FICO Xpress; and need for programming in the following languages: Java, C/C++/C#, HTML, Javascript; and knowledge of Tableau. Domestic and international travel required up to 50% of the time.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, plus eight (8) years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a risk management, software consulting or related occupation. Experience must include five (5) years of experience, which may be concurrent, in all of the following: 1) Banking/financial services industry experience in risk market supporting sales and selling decisioning solutions, including deep knowledge of banking and client lifecycle management; 2) Consulting with clients in both a pre-Sales and consulting capacity; 3) Designing and creating proofs of concept, responding to requests for information (RFI) / Requests for Proposals (RFP) or pricing and preparing sales package proposals; 4) Applying global (Europe, Middle East and Africa) knowledge from working with client risk teams and risk technology solution requirements within the risk market; 5) To support the Latin American and Caribbean regions, able to do Product Demonstrations, Public Presentations and Proposals in all of the following languages: Portuguese, Spanish and English; 6) Applications: WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, Oracle Database, MySQL, SQL Server, FICO Blaze Advisor, FICO Xpress; Programming: Java, C/C++/C#, HTML, Javascript; and knowledge of Tableau. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor's Degree program. Domestic and international travel required up to 50% of the time.
