Essential Functions

  • Oversees qualification/disqualification of manufacturing partner's products to sold and delivered by the practice
  • Creates, maintains, and evolves professional services offerings sold and delivered by the practice
  • Responsible for Profit and Loss Statement (P&L) for assigned technology practice
  • Recruits, manages, and develops specialized Sales Engineering staff reporting into the practice
  • Works with Delivery Engineering Management to identify and qualify Delivery Engineering staff who will deliver solutions provided by the practice
  • Develops and delivers training, for sales and general Sales Engineering staff, on solutions provided by the practice
  • Develops and documents standards and best-practices related to delivery of solutions provided by the practice
  • Works closely with Delivery Engineering Management to ensure that Delivery Engineering staff are prepared to effectively and efficiently implement solutions provided by the practice
  • Works closely with Partner Relationship Managers to ensure that product manufacturer certifications and funding is maintained and leveraged to support practice profitability
  • Works closely with Service Operations team to properly assign Sales Engineering requests to the appropriate practice Sales Engineer
  • Works closely with Sales Management to manage and create pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
  • Reviews and approves all Professional Services agreements and labor estimates for solutions sold and delivered by the practice
  • Works directly with sales on key opportunities involving solutions sold and delivered by the practice

 

Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of systems architecture and design with a focus on technologies delivered by the practice
  • Bachelors degree in engineer or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing others as a team
  • Experience working for a Value Added Reseller (VAR) or Systems Integrator is highly desired
  • Manufacturer partner specific certifications such as Cisco CCIE, VMware VCDX, or EMC Proven Professional are highly desired
