The Core OS team is looking for an exceptional software engineer to lead, design and develop the power management software framework of Apple’s operating systems. In this unique and highly visible role, you will be at the center of system power management feature developments and user facing power optimizations. Working with other software and system teams, you will lead the definition, development and adoption of novel power management API’s, aiming to invent scalable solutions with system energy awareness always in mind. You will also berequired to prototype and explore novel power management framework changes that make dramatic behavioral changes to Apple’s operating system. The impact of the proposed innovations will span across the entire system striving to lead future products to bold battery life targets.

Education & Experience

MS in Computer Science or equivalentexperience

Additional Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in the software power management space
  • Proven track record leading new software development with complex dependencies
  • Understanding of operating systems
  • Experience with new platform bring-up
  • Experience with IOKit drivers on OS X or iOS
