Deere & Company is seeking a Power Electronics Control Software Engineer in Fargo, ND with the following requirements: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of related experience. Prior experience must include the following: build, simulate, analyze and develop various electric machine models, inverter models and motor controller models utilizing MATLAB and Simulink (2yrs); research, design and implement advanced electric motor drive control algorithms for permanent-magnet machines (PMs) and induction machines (IMs) (2yrs); achieve proof-of-concept prototyping and debugging while utilizing embedded software development (C/C++) and hardware-in-loop/rapid control prototyping systems, such as dSPACE (2yrs); develop machine fault detection schemes utilizing advanced signal processing and implement derating-based controls (2yrs). 30% domestic travel required.
