  • Measurable laboratory based experience with cell biology and/or biochemistry and/or rodent models

  • Basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, graphing/statistical software, and DNA analysis software

  • Capable of designing and executing well-controlled experiments in collaboration with the PI

  • Willing to work some weekends and evenings when project/experiments necessitate it for good outcome
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient with PC/Windows OS applications

  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work with human or animal cell lines and tissue samples
  • Comfort working with viral vectors (retroviral, lentiviral)
  • Presenting research findings in laboratory meetings or seminar series
  • Writing and submitting grants in collaboration with PI

Detailed Description

Experiments may include mammalian cell culture, retroviral or lentiviral transductions, flow cytometry, shRNA/RNAi, western blotting, functional inhibitor screening, CRISPR/Cas9, qRT-PCR, (co)immunoprecipitations, surface biotinylation, protein cross-linking, IP/MS, confocal microscopy, spheroid or organoid culture. For translational relevance the candidate may be required to validate oncogenic potential and therapeutic targetability with in vivo experiments using murine orthotopic xenograft tumor models
