Seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Anny Usheva in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Selected candidate will be required to plan, organize, and conduct highly independent research upon approval of the principal investigator.
Candidate will also design, test, and evaluate methods and protocol for research projects; analyze, summarize, and organize collected data; together with the principal investigator, and publish results of investigations in professional journals. Under the direction of the principal investigator, the selected individual will be generally responsible for the scientific operations of the laboratory; may supervise laboratory/unit personnel.
A strong background in computational data analysis (bioinformatics), experience in state-of-art proteomics approaches, RNA analyses. Cell culture experience is highly desirable.
PhD in biochemistry, 1 or more years of relevant experience in cell culture, tissue transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and post-translational protein analyses. Proficient in Excel, basic bioinformatics and fluency in English
