Job Description

As the Portfolio Optimization and Business Insights - Senior Manager you will sit within the Pharmacy Growth and Product Development Group in the Retail Pharmacy Department. You will be in the center of the business transformation within one of the world's strongest healthcare companies and therefore should have both intellectual curiosity to stay abreast on new topics within the pharmaceutical industry and tenacity to support a complex business problems.

You will play a vital role in managing the Retail Rx Growth Portfolio under the SVP, owning the governance and strategic multi-year planning of growth driving projects for the organization. You will act as a key component into the overall strategy building, working cross-functionally with business and IT leaders to deliver complex strategic programs that drive prescription growth and create EBIT value year over year. This will require making key decisions on resource allocations and leveraging over $100M in operating budgets to ensure financial return on the portfolio.

You will bring analytical rigor and provide key evaluations to drive the investment for the retail pharmacy portfolio. You will be a vital contributor in understanding the drivers of our retail pharmacy script trends and the performance of script growth initiatives (both owned by Product Development and multi-functional partners). You will conduct analysis at varying degrees of granularity; developing patient and script insights to understanding industry and market trends in relation to CVS Health strategy.

You will build reporting and create effective presentations for leaders including the Board of Directors (BOD), Executive Operating Committee (EOC), and Retail Leadership Team (RLT).

The position is central to aligning wide-ranging stakeholders across organization therefore experience in building effective relationships and influencing skills are essential. You will demonstrate this by working across the enterprise with Finance, Enterprise Analytics, and business innovation teams to integrate multiple outputs into a unified narrative.

As the Senior Manager, you will report to the Director, Portfolio Optimization and Business Insights but ultimately develop a working relationship with the Senior Vice President of Retail Pharmacy Growth & Profit. In order to support the diverse body of work, you will provide positive leadership for a team of one to three directs.

Select Job responsibilities:

You will manage the Retail Rx Growth Portfolio under the SVP owning the governance and strategic multi-year planning of IT projects for the organization.

You will manage the capital budget finding and unlocking synergies across growth projects to ensure a financial return on investment for portfolio through incremental script and margin contribution.

You will collaborate with Finance organization to develop a keen understanding of drivers of prescription trends, and lead on forward-looking expectation. You will work multi-functionally with Enterprise Analytics to assess and validate script estimates for growth drivers.

You will frame analytic approaches and lead quantitative analyses that will yield critical answers to the questions at hand.

Create presentations of complex project/portfolio subject matter to a level of understanding for executive leadership, sponsors, business partners, and down to the staff level.

You will support the development and maintenance of weekly performance reporting across the pharmacy growth portfolio, including explanation and in-depth understanding of variances.


Required Qualifications

*5+ years of demonstrated business trends and analysis experience (e.g., data analysis, reporting development, etc.)

*3+ year of consulting, analytics, or related experience / experience with solid story boarding, PowerPoint, Excel, and project management skills

*3+ year(s) of experience assessing and building a business case to identify areas of growth and direct responsibility for leading and executing strategy / business transformation / enterprise change management initiatives.

*3+ years of experience working with data using technical tools (e.g., SQL, Access, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications

*7+ years of demonstrated business trends and analysis experience (e.g., data analysis, reporting development, etc.)
