Perspecta has an immediate need for a PMO Lead in the Chantilly, VA area.
Responsible for all aspects of project development and implementation from original inception to final completion. Serves as a single point of contact. Interfaces with all parties involved in the project including developers, administrators, engineers and customers. Gathers customers• requirements and establish project scope and objectives. Prepares detailed schedules, project estimates, and status reports. Allocates resources to facilitate the successful completion of projects. Coordinates and conducts meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Reviews deliverables and ensures adherence to quality standards. Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and evaluates vendor deliverables. Provides recommendations and takes action to resolve any management related issues. Reports to Program Manager. Responsible for PMO operations including reporting, planning, risk management and quality management.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Required:
High School Diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience, or Associates Degree plus 10 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 8 years relevant experience, or Master's Degree with 6 years relevant experience, or PHD with 4 years relevant experience.
Must have a Secret Security clearance
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of key company services' operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
Has an extensive understanding of critical project management techniques
Recognized as a leader in the company services Program Manager (PM) Professions community
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
Directs multiple teams through to project completion. Provides guidance and direction to lower level technicians, specialists, and managers.
Responsible for all aspects of project development and implementation from original inception to final completion.
Exceptionally Complex - researches and evaluates new concepts and processes to improve performance. Analyzes cross-functional problem sets, identifies root causes and resolves issues. Assists more junior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians, specialists, and/or managers.
