Job Function

As a Platform Lead for a Human Resources Information System (HRIS), your primary function will be to work with the HR function, analysts, project managers and senior leadership of the firm in the definition, design, development and support of an HRIS platform. In addition to HRIS, you may also be responsible for otherSaaS platforms. This role requires a consultative and solutions oriented approach, with the ability to proactively influence the business. In addition, this role will allow you to combine your consulting background, product management leadership and influencing skills in order to drive continuous functional and technical improvement while leveraging a packaged solution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude, enjoy working in a team environment, seek challenges, and understand how to establish trust with both the client and fellow team members.

Job Skills and Abilities

3-5years of relevant experience with HR Information Systems, information technology and HR processes i.e. Core HR, Recruiting, Benefit Administration, Performance & Talent and Base Compensation

Must be logical and detail-oriented

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent project management skills

Ability to keep up with new business and technical concepts

Able to work with minimal supervision

Has a general understanding of LeanSix Sigma and Process Change Management principles to participate in engineering processes, reduce redundancy, and increase efficiency

Experience delivering with agile and iterative methodologies, solving problems within high-performance, real-time, distributed systems

Strong team leadership and risk management ability

Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g. Iterative, Agile)

Experience with translating business requirements into system functional and non-functional requirements

Proficient in software development for both web and cloud/SaaS environments in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and SQL


Lead HR through the evaluation of HRIS cloud-based solutions

Solicit and manage partner relationships with a focus on HRIS

Communicate a product vision regularly through detailed, written product requirements, roadmap documents and presentations

Identify new product/platform capabilities as they become available.

Partner with business analysts to translate business requirements to application specifications

Perform build versus buy analysis

Create process flowcharts, diagrams, and other related documentation

Develop technical workflows using various modeling techniques including UML

Create high-level prototypes to evaluate new, innovative technologies

Collaborate with application architects and infrastructure to integrate applications, hardware and security

Coordinate the construction, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise computer systems

Ensure that design and application implementation meets security and QA standards

Analyze application logs to ensure that functionality and performance metrics meet all product and service level requirements

Be the Subject Matter Expertise on HRTechnology, processes, reports and integrations while identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement

Ensure HR solutions and processes are designed to holistically across all modules

40% designing business solutions, prototypes and various systems design and documentation

25% developing on premise and cloud-based systems integrations

15% developing technical artifacts; designs, diagrams, workflows, specifications

10% applying design and testing procedures and standards

10% project oversight, team development/mentoring
