Minimum Experience: B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry Degree with 12+ years?experience out of chemicals, foods, resins, electronic materials, or extruded plastics. This candidate must have experience with the following: supervision of 80+ production personnel, strong EHS background, team mentality, supervision of shipping, receiving, engineering and quality, budget responsibility for $20 million or more, and have been in a plant that has had rapid growth or where production demands are constantly changing.

Job Description: Our Client is one of the leaders in the production of high purity electronic chemicals and associated products that aid in the production of computer chips. This is a newly created position due to the electronic materials boom and because this is a newly purchased site which has tripled in production output and size over the last three years. This person would supervise a total of 160 people at this 24/7 site in which operators work 12 hour shifts. That includes 115 manufacturing personnel, 1 maintenance manager and 12technicians, 1 lab supervisor and 12 lab personnel, process engineers, as well as shipping and receiving personnel with an operating budget of over $30 million. This plant is dedicated to excellent EHS standards. This person will have several responsibilities. 50% of the job is working with a variety of teams on a daily basis to give them direction to meet the changing production needs and plant issues. 25% of the job is cost improvement, which could include raw material changes, changing plant processes, and looking into manpower needs. And another25% of the job is working withinternal teams to deal with technical issues, as well as meeting onsite with customers. Much of the job encompasses getting the site up to new company standards in regards to safety, integrating all plant data into a corporate data base, bringing the plant into a new company?s culture, and working with clients that are both internal and external. The processes used to produce the product includes mixing, blending, casting, lamination and extrusion. This person will be groomed to move up into higher levels in the company that has sites located in the US, China, Japan and Korea. There are 1600 people company-wide. Relocation is very generous and tops out at around $50,000.
