Build and continuously grow an Operations leadership team comprising department managers and staff members who lead these functions on a day-to-day basis:
- Shipping, receiving, warehousing, as well as related logistics must be operated in a cost efficient manner that adds value. These activities must be organized to preserve the value of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods and to minimize the elapsed time required for inbound and outbound logistics.

Priority must be given to incorporating in-process quality assurance, process improvement, lean manufacturing, and cross-training in the roles and responsibilities organized for each work center.
