Plant Operations Manager
Manages the operations of all production areas to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. Plans and establishes work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. Provides production process analysis and makes recommendations on solutions to process improvements. Familiar with a variety of the manufacturing conce pts, practices, and procedures and how they can apply custom/bespoke manufacturing. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that plant production milestones and goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel acti ons.
• Employs Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing concepts with focus on profitability, efficiency, service utilizing organization, cleanliness, standardization and elimination of process waste/bottlenecks.
• Ability to manage production associates to meet Efficiency, Productivity, and Capacity metric goals through motivation, clear communication and process discipline.
• Consistent feedback of evaluation and communication with subordinate associates of their job performance
• Responsible for identifying equipment and manpower resources necessary to execute the production schedule, and work with the Production Control Manager to ensure materials and outside services are available to meet that schedule.
Education Level : Bachelors degree
Experience: 5years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, especially a job shop environment. Exposure to Lean principles and Six Sigma knowledge. Quality management also desire d.
