The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The Plant Manager will be responsible for developing processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities are to oversee the day to day operations involving Safety, Production, Quality, budgets, and scheduling of maintenance projects. Will also maintain the extended planning for capital projects, maintain and keep up with weekly reporting, and work with EHS and Quality on issues that come up. The Plant Manager will be responsible for twenty full time employees and a varying temporary workforce that flexes up to twenty additional employees.
Additional Duties: •
Daily monitoring and reporting of Plant Processes • Track and report plant variable and fixed spending •
Responsible for delivering the plan production and adjusting to changes in demand from customers while staying within budget • Analysis of operating data – develop, prioritize, and implement improvement solutions •
Daily interactions with Plant Operations and Maintenance Personnel • Product and Customer Evaluations • Root Cause Analysis (Cause Maps) •
Develop/Update Operator Standard Work • Initiate and Implement Capital Projects •
Proficient with quality systems (SPC) •
Responsible for an operating budget of nearly $20M and working closely with engineering team to manage to plan capital budget.
Manages, supports and achieves Operation Excellence/lean goals and initiatives, including but not limited to 5S, inventory reduction, process flow mapping, value stream mapping, standard work, Kaizens, Total Productive Maintenance, etc.
• Leads team in a continuous improvement work environment.
• Supports quality teams and management with OE initiatives and actively suggests opportunities for improvement.
Minimum of 5 years previous plant management experience • Must have plant management experience in a manufacturing environment •
Ability to prioritize and multitask in fast-paced environment • Strong analytical and problem solving skills •
Ability to work with a wide range of individuals • Strong communication skills Education: Bachelor's degree required. Travel: Limited domestic travel may be required.
