Responsible for all duties related to controlling and scheduling the plant to meet order shipment dates

o Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors by overseeing that plant foremen are properly managing and scheduling shop employees for all in house production activities .

o Responsible for monitoring production to ensure that shipments for manufacturing orders are completed by their due dates.

o Responsible for reviewing manpower forecast reports and makes necessary schedule adjustments to meet planned and forecasted production needs.

o Advises management when plans call for adjustments to employee count.

o Responsible for overseeing the termination and hiring of shop employees.


Monitor plant efficiencies to ensure that manufacturing standards are being met

o Analyzes monthly manufacturing budget variances that are related to his scope of authority.


o Review and monitor manufacturing standards to ensure compliance. Responsible for the investigation and action of non-compliance standards.

o Review employee productivity reports to ensure compliance with standards

o Responsible for increasing plant efficiencies and reducing costs through continued process improvements.


Responsible for maintaining product quality throughout manufacturing process

o Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.

o Reviews reported plant re-work and scrap to determine cause and take appropriate actions.

o Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.


Take an active role to ensure plant safety programs and policies are maintained and enforced.

o Ensures plant employees comply with safety rules and polices.

o Responsible for ensuring that the plant and its equipment are maintained in a proper and safe working order.



  • Responsible for all plant personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work and appraising performance.



  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience in manufacturing and plant operations.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Experience with an MRP system.
  • Must know valves and understand the mahcines used in this process
  • Strong communicator, they will present strategic ideas to VP and CEO
