As
Plant Manager of Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company's flagship manufacturing facility in Bedford Park, IL (Clearing, IL), you will have the opportunity to lead a world class manufacturing organization utilizing Total Production Management (TPM) as a foundation for continuous improvement.
You'll lead a team of approximately ten direct and indirect reports across production, planning, engineering, reliability, quality, safety, health and environment, finance, continuous improvement, and human resources. And you'll join a team of other dedicated plant managers in the North American manufacturing team, reporting to the Vice President of North American Manufacturing for our Industrial sector - sharing best practices with each other and enhancing your skills.

What You Will Do: - Foster a culture consistent with Ecolab's company values
- Provide exceptional leadership to direct reports and to the site as a whole
- Develop and align the local Supply Chain vision, mission, strategy and objectives with divisional and corporate strategy and objectives
- Ensure safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service of the Supply Chain and meeting KPIs
- Ensure adherence to Ecolab's, local and governmental guidelines related to SH&E, quality, regulatory, and the code of conduct/ethics
- Own TPM implementation and culture
- Manage people, materials, equipment, and business processes to deliver site performance objectives, as measured by corporate and local KPIs
- Empower team by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals, and delegation to ensure the development of people and organizational capabilities
- Interface and liaise with corporate headquarters to manage communication and information flow between the plant and external environment
- Develop and implement strategic capital expense budgets to ensure long term technical and financial viability of the plant's manufacturing processes and ensures alignment of the budget to divisional and corporate strategy
- Role model effective change management strategy, planning, and executions
- Promote engagement, development, and retention in partnership with HR
- Develop and execute a site master plan of the manufacturing and distribution facility as well as organizational capabilities, necessary to support future growth
- Instill and support a continuous improvement mindset across the site
Position Details - Clearing Plant Information - Partners with business teams to develop and implement innovation, cost savings, and customer expansion projects
- Facility includes 2 manufacturing departments, colloidal silica and reaction/blending chemistries, a mid-west distribution facility. The facility also houses the Wastewater pilot plant, equipment solutions group and the Nalco Fleet, none reporting to the plant but the landlord for the entire facility.
- Plant primarily operates either 24-7 or 24-5 depending on the department.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years manufacturing experience, with significant experience in Continuous Improvement such as TPM
- 5 years progressive experience managing and leading staff and line positions
- 2 years functional experience in Engineering and Production
- 2 years of experience managing financial budgets
- 2 years capital management experience

- 2 years of experience leading TPM processes
- Experience of manufacturing for a fast-paced growth business
- Additional functional experience in at least two of the following areas: Distribution, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and SHE
- Willingness to relocate for future positions
- Advanced Technical degree or MBA
