Experis is working with a growing, mid-sized company on a Plant Manager role. Our client has experienced tremendous growth through two recent acquisitions and through entering new markets.

The site Im working with has around 50 people but plans to double or triple the size of the business in the next 3-5 years by investing in additional capital and entering new markets.

This person will have the unique ability to set the future strategy for this site, be the key decision maker, and have the ability to continue to advance into more senior roles within the flexible packaging business unit.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Promotes, provides leadership and drives Inlands philosophy of continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality and Productivity

Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, health and safety, and distribution

Directly leverages and indirectly manages shared service resources such as purchasing, finance, estimating, customer service, human resources, and information technology

Oversees the companys economic and operating performance specific to their plants operation

Continuously evaluates and measures current performance against forecast and cost estimates

Formulates and recommends manufacturing plans and policies that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its operations

Establishes and maintains productive, professional relationships with key personnel at various customer accounts

Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs

Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives

Coordinate plant activities through planning with onsite and offsite resources to insure the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner

Develops and implements capital spending plans that meet the ongoing needs for facilities, equipment, and productivity improvements

Drives standardization through the development and implementation of technical standards to help maximize repeatability, quality, compatibility and safety

Provides leadership and mentorship to managers, supervisors and leads with regard to quality, safety, security, reporting, training, staffing and employee relations

Ensure the optimal use of human, technical, financial and material resources in achieving company goals

Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary

Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and labor

Provides clear communication with workforce and external partners; ensure departmental work methods are compatible with company standards and customer requirements

Ensure the compliance of safety, health, environmental and quality guidelines and policies, and as required by regulations and customer requirements

Develops and maintains a coordinated and efficient organizational structure focused on performing all operational duties

Develops strategy and implements programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profitability

Requirements:

Prior experience in printing or flexible packaging industry

5+ years of Leadership Experience

Prior budgetary and strategic experience
