Lucas Group is looking for a Plant Maintenance Leader to provide leadership and direct strategy for our client’s maintenance efforts in support with their plant’s strategic and production plans. This person will improve asset utilization, uptime and production throughput by implementing proven reliability improvement processes.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is a must (preferably in Mechanical Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, IndustrialEngineering or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 10 years managerial experience
  • Familiarity with high speed production processes (food, beverage, pharma, consumables)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to closure concurrently
  • Budget management
  • Business acumen/working knowledge of P&L
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategically, execute tactically and provide leadership to others

 

Experience Requirements:

  • This Plant Maintenance Leader provides leadership and directs strategy for the maintenance effort in support with plant’s strategic and production plans.
  • This person will improve asset utilization, uptime and production throughput by implementing proven reliability improvement processes.
  • This person will also ensure responsive and proactive maintenance support to all plant customers by implementing sound work management processes.
  • The Maintenance leader will also be responsible for budgeting professional and technical development of his/her assigned salaried and hourly associates.
  • This person will be tasked with roadmap creation for proactive maintenance and upgrades to our state of the art facility that will maximize productivity, avoid/minimize downtime and prolong the life of installed assets.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair work is performed efficiently through organized planning, optimized material support and coordinated work execution.
  • Utilize data to analyze equipment failure modes, time between failure, and suggests/implements improvement processes to reduce or eliminate equipment/process failures (PM and AM process).
  •  Help drive a mindset and skills around preventative and proactive maintenance; shifting work responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Continually reduce equipment downtime and increase availability through the establishment of a preventive/predictive maintenance program (including failure analysis) as designed, directed, monitored and continually improved.
  • Finally, he/she is responsible to seek methods to reduce utilities consumption, protect the environment, reduce waste and foster a safe work environment.
