Manage capital projects and maintain facility and equipment including NH3 refrigeration systems and similar.
*** Design preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimum longevity and usage of plant and equipment. Plan and coordinate routine maintenance of equipment.
*** Oversee diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and related electrical systems.
*** Develop and recommend annual department financialbudget. Monitor and adjust operations to meet budget guidelines.
*** Anticipate future challenges to production capability and develop appropriate actions to avert potential problems.
***Investigate foreign materials found in production through quality checks, customer complaints, and similar.
*** Create and implement accepted statistical process control techniques to quantify departmental performance.
*** Work with contractors, vendors, managers, supervisors, machine operators, and production workers to ensure the optimal performance of machines and equipment.
*** Ensure a safe work place: follow Hazardous Communication Plan, Lock-out & Tag-out Program, Process Safety Management Plan, and all applicable safety standards.
*** Serve on the Emergency Response Team and report to plant during the event of an ammonia leak and execute response.
*** Provide technical expertise related to Industrial Maintenance, mechanical operations, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical controls, computer controls, and programmable logic controls (PLC).
*** Serve as subject matter expert related to food processing principles, quality control, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Good Manufacturing Practices, and similar.
