Education: High School Diploma or GED and 11 years' experience with planning support for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) programs for flying squadrons; or Associate's Degree and 10 years' experience; or Bachelor's Degree and 9 years' experience; or Master's Degree and 8 years' experience; or Doctorate Degree and 4 years' experience.

Training and Experience: Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience as an aircrew member on Special Operations Forces (SOF) aircraft and express a degree of understanding and knowledge of SOF aircrew procedures to include: tactics, technique and procedures, aircrew training, standardization and evaluation, publication management, life support equipment, exercise management, and mobility requirements.

General Skills: Must be able to handle multiple tasks, work independently, flexible in work assignments, detail oriented, highly organized, takes initiative, and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with little to no supervision.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Security Clearance: Must currently possess a security clearance level of "Secret" or higher.


  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, flying mission tracking, reporting, coordinating, and communication of mission support for the flying squadron
  • Liaison with the 27th Special Operations Wing (SOW) units, outside units requesting support, higher headquarters, and civilian personnel.
  • Work in close concert with operations personnel to determine training and support requirements to ensure aircrew and aircraft can operate off-station from their assigned base of operations.
  • Process Special Operations Command (SOCOM) forms and input the 27th SOW unit's commit status into the master commit calendar; while providing updates to the AFSOC Operations Center and other external agencies.
  • Assist in planning future operations to include: flying schedules and de-confliction of aircrew currencies, qualifications, upgrades, and training priorities.
  • Ensure aircraft support at CONUS and OCONUS airfields, arrangement of lodging, and other logistical requirements are met.
  • Provide documents to ensure trip details are complete; to include: Form 111s and DTS orders.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Aircraft Commander/Mission Commander post mission to ensure that an After Action Report is accomplished and submitted.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
