Our Piping Engineer's mainresponsibilities include:

  • Is knowledgeable of arctic work practices and applies these principles to project delivery.
  • Independently leads plant design activities and cooperate with multi-discipline designers & engineers.
  • Performs plant and piping design work across several engineering  disciplines in the 3D integrated design systems
  • Performs plant and piping design work across several engineering  disciplines in the 3D integrated design systems  
  • Introduce and perform quality review check for 3D modeling and piping deliverables.
  • Participates in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
  • Assists in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects,
  • Develops designer man-hour estimates for piping discipline,
  • Displays strong communication and interpersonal skills and has the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10 -15 years of engineering/design experience
  • 10+ years of 3D Modeling experience
  • Experience in equipment layout, piping design and pipe supports,
  • Knowledge of piping specific design standards
  • Ability to interact with otherengineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

 

  • Arctic/ North Slope experiencepreferred
  • Field experiencepreferred
  • Project Manager Professional certification is preferred
  • Professional Engineer License (PE)  preferred
  • Previous work experience with Alyeska preferred
