Responsible for evaluating and treating patients using consultants and referrals in conformance with the Medical Center's by-laws, rules and regulations while also participating in medical staff meetings and departmental activities.

The psychiatrist will assess and document patient history and mental status, order the necessary diagnostic tests, and review and oversee care.He or she will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation on every new patient and follow through with progress notes each day.

The right candidate will demonstrate a commitment to performance improvement and service quality, and will contribute their talents and skills to achieve individual, departmental and hospital-wide goals and objectives.

Current NYS License required. Board eligible required. Fellowship trained in Consultative Psychiatry/Board Certification preferred.
