Develops and documents a plan of care for each patient, administers appropriate treatment and/or referral, and conducts consults in ED and med/surg units. Makes informed diagnostic and therapeutic decisions based on patient information, current scientific evidence, clinical judgment and patient preference. Prescribes and performs competently all medical procedures considered essential for the scope of practice. Physician shall practice three (3) days outpatient and two (2) days inpatient on adult only inpatient9bed unit weekly. One call night per week and one call weekend per month.
Medical School graduate with a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an approved medical school, or possession of Standard Certificates as issued by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates. Active, unrestricted medical license in the state(s) of practice required.Board certified or eligible. Dual boarded in psychiatry and addiction medicine preferred but not required. Spanish speaking preferred but not required. .
