he Hospitalist Program provides a core and essential service to the clinic and hospital in Marshfield, WI. The scope of patients on the Hospitalist Service is broad ranging and includes medical consultation for surgical and non-surgical subspecialty patients excluding critical ICU admissions

Daytime Hospital Coverage

• Nine total physicians covering day shifts 0700-1700. (7am-5pm) – mainly dayshift, with 1 cross coverage
• This group of physicians will round daily on their inpatients and admit in rotation with the medical education service.
• This model presumes an average daily census of 12-17 in-patients with approximately 2-4 new admissions or consults per day.
