The Physician Assistant assesses, plans and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. He/she must examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examination, and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physician examinations. The Physician Assistant must meet any state requirements pertaining to their profession. He/she must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within their particular field. In addition, he/she must prepare and complete portions of medical records in a timely manner, and with appropriate documentation according to standards. The Physician Assistant must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. He/she must perform a variety of tasks and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Carolinas Medical Alliance is seeking a Physician Assistant to help extend a busy Orthopedic Surgeon. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a PA for a surgical practice, experience with joint injections, and knowledge of the needs of orthopedic patients. Must have graduated from an accredited PA school with minimum of 5 years of experience.
