Join our boutique healthcare consulting group as a Staff Physician Assistant.

We're looking for creativity, initiative, and a collaborative spirit.

An exceptional opportunity for a new PA or the experienced practitioner. Psychiatric experience is a plus, but not required.

The chosen candidate will have their own assignments and, in coordination with our supervising psychiatrists and other team members, will oversee the psychiatric care, evaluation, and management, including psychopharmacological intervention, of patients with a variety of medical issues complicated by psychiatric comorbidities.

New team members will receive training in our protocol that takes a new referral through the evaluation process, the development of a treatment plan, creating a report in our Electronic Medical Record system and interacting with medical staff to present and help implement the plan, and manage a follow-up schedule for the established patient.

APP Health Group is a private behavioral health consulting group.

Essential Functions:

  • Interview patients for a psychiatric assessment.
  • Diagnose and develop psychiatric treatment plans for new patients and follow-up with existing patients to monitor and adjust their treatment where necessary in coordination with supervising physicians.
  • Create notes and communicate with staff to monitor, prioritize, and coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain the required follow-up schedules in accordance with established protocols


  • Must be licensed in New York State or anticipated to become licensed before employment.
  • Psychiatric experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Spanish speaking a plus
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, flexibility, creativity and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to utilize and master electronic health record systems to document patient care and history.
  • Excellent written, organizational, clinical, and interpersonal skills.
