Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license and eligibility.
  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • Additional requirements include a Master's in related field and a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, or a Bachelor's and 5 years of PT experience.
  • Foreign Physical Therapy degree must be evaluated for U.S. equivalence.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop personalized recovery plans.
  • Deliver physical therapy services based on assessment and patient requirements.
  • Adapt therapy programs to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Collaborate with team members and make referrals when necessary.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on promoting independence and productivity.

As a Physical Therapist, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will assess patient needs, develop their recovery plans, and deliver physical therapy.

You're a healer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is the design of a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities.

You're adaptable to the needs of the patient and can find joy in the variety of the work and the settings.
