Opportunity
The Carlisle Group has been retained to find a Pharmacy Operations Manager. This role will oversee operations of the brick-and-mortar location. This people leader will set the course for the whole location and the organization’s success in the Brooklyn, NY area. The position reports to the Director of Operations.
Position Summary:
- Overall responsibility and oversight to manage the day-to-day operations of a high-volume pharmacy including inventory, billing, filling, fulfillment, and audit processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and audit-ready compliance
- Responsible for all employee relations, team efficiency, collaboration, and effective communication between all verticals to meet and exceed the organizational goals and KPI’s
- Oversight of Pharmacy Technicians, and pharmacy/delivery department leads to ensure that directives from senior leadership are properly implemented
- Direct reporting relationships with customer service representatives and front-end security personnel
- Indirect reporting relationships and general oversight with the Rx Leader, Delivery Leader and Facilities
- Work closely with the Compliance Associate to ensure complete and proactive adherence to all pharmacy regulations
- Assist Rx and Delivery Leaders with pharmacy and delivery processes in a hands-on-manner when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 6+ years of retail, specialty, or hospital high-volume pharmacy experience
- 5+ years of supervisory experience as a lead or supervising Pharmacy Technician managing a team of a minimum of 5 associates and preferably having multiple indirect reports
- Strong leadership and managerial skill set with demonstrated experience in working with a diverse group of associates at multiple levels
- Knowledge of PBM’s
- Exposure to pharmacy reconciliation processes (mostly with payors)
- Experience billing commercial insurances, Medicare Part D, and Medicaid
- EMR, PHI, HIPAA and FWA proficiency
- URAC, JCAHO, and/or ACHC compliance knowledge
- Ownership mentality of entire process and life cycle of the location where dependability, availability, accountability are cornerstones
- Possess deductive skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task
- Ability to demonstrate patience, composure, and a positive attitude
Preferences:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Experience working with delivery and/or mail-order pharmacies
