Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and according to the standard policies and procedures and the State Board of Pharmacy regulations, the associate is responsible for interpreting and clarifying medication orders and prescriptions, procuring medications, compounding, dispensing, and monitoring preparation. Also responsible for record keeping and functional application of policies and procedures and direct administrative supervision of interns, technicians, clerks, assistants, and volunteers.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Francis Medical Center. It is expected that the associate holding this position will demonstrate behaviors consistent with our core values and will comply with all required standards governing our commitment to Compassionate Care, Exemplary Service and serving our patients. The associate holding this position will support St. Francis Medical Center's strategic plan and all essential elements of Quality Improvement and Financial Stewardship.


Previous hospital and clinical pharmacy experience preferred

Knowledge of unit dose systems, IV admixture, chemotherapy, clinical pharmacology, pharmokinetics, and drug use evaluation required

Basic computer skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred


Current CA Registered Pharmacist License
