Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.


  • Graduate of a School of Pharmacy recognized by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy an advanced degree such as a Doctor of Pharmacy or Masters of Sciences is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification with American Heart Association (Health Care Provider card).

Preferred five (5) years in hospital practice emphasizing clinical pharmacy, and drug information services, or must have completed a clinical pharmacy residency.
