  • Position will have partial focus on oncology and infusion center patients and orders
  • Accurate and timely distribution of medications
  • Stat and routine orders completed within established policy and procedures
  • 100% accuracy
  • Completes ER scripts and refills stock on a daily basis
  • Supervises distribution of medications
  • Accurate and timely charges with adherence to department and facility compliance standards
  • Enforces formulary compliance and established drug protocols
  • Contacts prescribing physician according to pharmacy P&P to obtain alternative order
  • Participates in patient education per P&P
  • Participates (conducts) staff education at least once per year
  • Performs pharmacokinetics with desired outcome
  • Performs daily drug interaction and therapy monitoring with documentation
  • Provides complete and accurate drug information to customers in a timely manner
  • Supervision of non-professional staff
  • Quality improvement


  • Must have graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy



  • 3 years hospital pharmacist experience or pharmacy residency required
  • Oncology PGY-2 training or BCOP preferred


  • Must be able to communicate with patients of all ages
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at once
  • Therapeutic drug monitoring
  • Unit dose dispensing
  • I.V. admixture
  • Medication compounding
  • Teamwork and effective oral and written communication skills required
  • Computer skills are preferred
  • Patient counseling skills
  • Ability to directly supervise and delegate pharmacy technician responsibilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and nurses throughout the hospital
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
