The Personal Lines Insurance Service Manager provides supervision, management and leadership to Insurance staff.
Position Specific Responsibilities
Responsibilities include working closely with staff to provide support and direction in conjunction with the producers on client and/or carrier related problems as they arise.
Daily supervisory duties include staffing, PMP process, and to oversee daily work to ensure clients' needs are being met.
Work with Director of Operations and Service Team Managers in other markets and across other product lines to assist in the development and implementation of service standards, policies, procedures, work flows and processes.
In addition, individual may be assigned to or involved in servicing of selected accounts, including coverage analysis, renewal review, re-marketing, and client presentations and may be responsible for handling all levels of correspondence, respond to inquiries from clients and companies, review in-force renewals, accurately maintain existing database and work closely with producers.
Provide leadership to staff while working through change in the agency
Ability to assess current staff as well as potential new talent through the interview/hiring process and take appropriate action.
Must possess the skills for continued development of all staff including those that possess the skills and desire for upward mobility.
Responsible for ensuring exceptional data integrity within all Agency systems and processes.
Effectively communicate performance expectations; monitor and hold staff accountable for their performance and their actions.
Act as a ‘Coach’ for associates to leverage strengths and understand and identify gaps in performance; conduct one-on-one meetings and timely appraise performance.
Provide development opportunities for staff aligning with their career goals and develops ‘bench strength’ for key positions.
Proactively recruit and maintain a pipeline of candidates who display requisite job skills and exhibit values consistent with Johnson Financial Group.
Create and sustain an environment which supports teamwork and mutual respect.
Communicates to team: corporate updates, business updates, etc. and conducts regular, meaningful team/department meetings.
Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels to efficiently execute department responsibilities.
Uses financial information to identify and implement cost containment or reduction programs and ensure expenditures are accurate and follow policies and procedures.

Cross Sales and Referrals
Knowledge of full portfolio of JFG products; ability to cross-sell full breadth and depth of products.
Responsible for establishing, building and maintaining strong internal relationships across all lines of business to ensure consistent and frequent referral activities.
Expand new and existing relationships by advising and recommending appropriate solutions that will exceed client expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Minimum 6 years in a supervisory or management position.
Strong communication skills, (both written and oral), and past experience in a role that required problem-solving.
Minimum 8 years experience in insurance client service or related field with the ability to review insurance coverage with clients and producers at a high level.
Ability to stay abreast of emerging technology essential.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities a must.
Must have appropriate state insurance license(s).
Background should reflect a continued focus on insurance education including professional designations.
Consistently meets or exceeds cross sell/referral goals.
