Evaluate, classify, and rate each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing.
*** Develop and submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities and management.
*** Drive new and renewal business through in person visits, telemarketing, and distribution of marketing materials for insurance company partners.
*** Monitor key metrics: new business hit ratio, renewal retention ratio, and premium growth & loss ratio.
*** Formulate corrective action.
*** Develop and execute marketing plans.
*** Mentor assistant underwriters.
*** Work towards Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter, Certified Insurance Counselor, and similar accreditations.
