Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through our family of apps and services, we're building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together. Whether we're creating new products or helping a small business expand its reach, people at Facebook are builders at heart. Our global teams are constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to empower people around the world to build community and connect in meaningful ways. Together, we can help people build stronger communities — we're just getting started.

The ProTools team is responsible for driving productivity gains through process improvements for the Global Marketing Solutions organization. We’re obsessed with finding the most efficient ways to perform tasks while also protecting our business from risk. It’s our job to make the lives of the Sales and Marketing teams easier by both streamlining their workflows and closing potential gaps in our processes and tools. We’re seeking an experienced program manager for this Permissions Lead role to own permissions management across GMS. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to help define Facebook’s approach to making sure that every person in GMS has the right level of access to tools and data to do their job, while protecting against inappropriate access to sensitive data and actions. You’ll work with cross-functional partners across many different teams in the GMS org (e.g. sales, marketing, operations) and across Facebook (e.g. Information Security, Internal Audit, IT) to help balance efforts to minimize risk with enabling our sales teams. This role will primarily be focused on auditing and segmenting existing permissions by role, setting the strategy to streamline access for those roles, implementing and iterating on a new scaled access management process, partnering with development teams to represent the business as a scaled security framework is developed, and helping educate teams on the right way to approach tool and data security. We’re looking for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems through technical and analytical excellence, synthesizing disparate pieces of information into concrete recommendations, and project managing multiple streams of work. The ideal candidate is passionate about risk mitigation and change management, has a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo and a strong desire for constant innovation.

Required Skills:

  1. Define the strategy for GMS permissions management and lead permissions-related process improvement projects from inception to implementation

  2. Investigate current risks associated with tools and processes by interviewing and shadowing sales and marketing field agents

  3. Document existing permissions mapping and re-create streamlined mappings to show the gap between the current and ideal end states

  4. Develop recommendations for moving to the ideal end-state process for permissions management and present proposals to key stakeholders and senior level leaders for buy-in

  5. Project manage the execution of the recommended permissions management process by working through an implementation plan with cross-functional stakeholders

  6. Manage analysts executing on the new permissions management process

  7. Measure the performance of newly implemented permissions management workflows and iterate on the process for continual refinement

  8. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Facebook to identify opportunities for future risk management projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree in Business or related field

  2. 8+ years of program management or risk mitigation experience, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree

  3. Experience driving cross-functional projects to completion

  4. Experience working in roles related to permissions management, risk/fraud-prevention, or scaled operations

  5. Demonstrated problem solving skills with experience providing business insights and recommendations from multiple input sources (e.g. data sets, interview feedback, process flow documents, etc.)

  6. Experience presenting organizational content to audiences

  7. Experience focusing on operational excellence and execution of a project plan

  8. Experience in change management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or Master's degree in an analytical field

  2. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

  3. Able to foresee implications of different courses of actions when making decisions and mitigate against any potential risks

  4. Ability to prioritize for impact across many competing priorities

  5. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing order to chaos

  6. Relationship management skills
