Overview:

Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. Responsibilities:

Perfusionist – Certified Clinical
This position has a dual role capacity, with the primary responsibility being to safely and effectively deliver specialized comprehensive care to a variety of patient populations in the operation of extracorporal equipment, providing care and/or support activities. Duties include cardiopulmonary bypass, auto transfusion, intra-aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion services.

ECMO Coordinator
As an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Coordinator, this position assumes responsibility for all aspects of the ECMO program including general operations, scheduling, quality monitoring, education and competency validation and compliance with Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) standards. The ECMO Coordinator collaborates with the ECMOMedical Director to ensure that policies and procedures, order sets, educational materials, and data monitoring/performance improvement initiatives are up to date and in compliance with ELSO guidelines and recommendations.

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Graduation from an accredited perfusion program. Credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Perfusionist standardized procedures.

PREFERRED: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree. At least 3 years of critical care and ECMOexperience.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
