As a Perfumer in Givaudan, working out of our East Hanover, NJ office, you will join a global perfumery community, counting some of the best creative talents and experts of the industry. In this exciting position you will report to the Head of Consumer Products for North America.

You will develop and share your expertise together with your colleagues inside and outside of your own team. Your passion for ingredients and formulation, your love for consumers and our customers, your open and dynamic personality blends perfectly with our innovation and team-working culture.

In this autonomous position you will oversee:

• Creating the fragrances of the future: you will create the very best fragrances for the North American markets with a strong focus on hair care, Personal, Fabric, and Home Care categories. You will participate in fragrance development projects for local, regional and international customers on a daily basis.
• Serving as an expert: you will develop a solid market and consumer understanding in relevant categories, creating the next generation of fragrances and act as an expert in your field.
• Building trusting relationships: you will visit and work with essential customers to create strong relationships and understand their needs. Together with your peers, you will provide feedback on perfumery needs to promote ingredients strategy and technologies for the region. You will represent Givaudan perfumery capabilities in North America and contribute to the successful business development of the region.

Your professional profile includes:

• Formal Perfumer training & educational background
• At least 10 years of experience as a creative Perfumer
• Fluency in English is required (additional language an asset, eg Spanish)
• Formulation expertise in relevant product categories
• Commercially minded with passion for customer/consumer interactions
• Experience with fragrances sold and adopted
• Good knowledge of GC/MS analysis and experience in reconstitutions
• work in a matrix organization
