The PeopleSoft Solutions Architect is responsible for analyzing functional requirements and creating functional and technical design solutions by leveraging in-depth application knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft Applications.

The candidate would be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs to formulate solutions that address business strategies along with documentation of detailed user requirements, program functions, and steps required to configure the application to meet User needs.

The candidate would be managing the General Ledger (GL) and Admin modules of PeopleSoft along with the integration of all interfaces integrated within the application


  • Strong knowledge of application implementation and testing best practices and methodologies
  • Ability to write functional requirements, use cases, and other analysis/design artifacts
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience of which 5 years of experience in implementing Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM Applications;
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience with PeopleSoft GL module and nVision reporting including a key role in at least one new implementation
  • Ideal experience also includes knowledge of PeopleSoft Asset Management, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable/Billing, Accounts Payable and Purchasing modules.
  • OBIEE , Essbase and Hyperion exposure is an asset
  • Experience in medium to large-scale PeopleSoft Financials implementations
  • Strong understanding of PC, Windows environment, SQL, and PeopleSoft reporting tools (Query and nVision)
  • Strong Technical Skills in People Code, People Tools SQR, Tree Manager, Data Mover, Application Messaging, Crystal reports, nVision, XML (BI) Publisher, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio
  • Programming in HTML/XML, .NET, ASP, Visual Basic, Java, PL/SQL, UNIX
  • Experience working on UNIX, Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience with developing web services integrated with PeopleSoft is a plus
  • In depth understanding of core business processes of PeopleSoft Financials modules is essential and excellent knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial Database model is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, UNIX environment, Shell Scripts, SQL, People Tools, SQR, XML and encryption technologies.
  • Good working knowledge of PeopleSoft Advanced Tools such as Application Package, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Business Interlinks, Workflow, Object Oriented People Code, WSDL (Web Services) etc.
  • Strong knowledge of application implementation and testing best practices and methodologies
  • Ability to write functional requirements, use cases, and other analysis/design artifacts effectively (storyboards, screen prototypes, etc.)
  • Experience with user interface and design
  • Conceptual knowledge of data modeling and database design
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Develops ERP strategy by identifying key business and operations drivers regarding growth, profitability, and product and service development; diagnosing and mapping current work processes; establishing integrated core business and operations objectives for marketing, sales, customer service, order fulfillment, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and human resources functions; determining project scope; uniting senior management behind goals; conducting and analyzing cost vs. benefits and risk analyses; re-engineering work processes; recommending project approaches; planning full project life cycle.
  • Establishes global ERP architecture by integrating ERP solutions across functional lines; determining functional layers; establishing partner collaborations; translating ERP needs into PeopleSoft solutions including computer platform, database, networking, systems integration, failsafe, disaster recovery, and security; recommending best-fit and best-breed architectures.
  • Deploys ERP architecture by recommending hardware and software solutions (programming, configuring, uploading, downloading, monitoring, controlling, diagnosing, and documenting), tools, and utilities; preparing workflow and business rules including triggers, alerts, procedures, and integration standards; preparing development guidelines; planning and building a data warehouse; building components and custom designs; designing and testing simulations; completing data migration; planning upgradeability; documenting system; resolving problems.
  • Validates ERP system performance by defining metrics to measure business and operations systems success; developing and conducting tests of system integration, functional layers, and entire system; fixing problems.
  • Maintains project team accomplishments by establishing and monitoring milestones; communicating essential information; coordinating actions; obtaining expert input; reviewing open issues and action items; contributing information to team meetings and reports.
  • Manages customer relationship by providing support; communicating ERP standards and infrastructure; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues.
  • Increases organization effectiveness by identifying opportunities to leverage solutions to other engagements.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Ensure that any IT solutions designed, configured, developed and implemented satisfy the business requirements and manage traceability of requirements through design, configuration, development, and testing.
  •  Work with the Finance department and other stakeholders to gather information utilizing a variety of techniques such as interviews, work sessions, storyboarding, and prototyping.
  • Participate in testing, testing reviews and analysis of testing results. Assist with troubleshooting and providing recommendations.
  • Effectively partner with Finance and other IT personnel to deliver solutions.
  • Follow standard software implementation best practices relative to analysis, configuration, development and testing.
  • Provide ad-hocreporting, data gathering, and feasibility studies to support project business justification as required for management review.
  • Suggest improvements or enhancements to processes and systems in order to increase customer satisfaction or improve productivity 


  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or IT
