This candidate should have experience working in the college and university environments with the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 product.  The candidate should have an extensive knowledge of all aspects of university Academic Structure, Academic Advising, Campus Community, Admissions.  The candidate should be able to interact with the client as a mentor, instructing and creating documentation.  The candidate should have complex problem-solving skills, and proven ability to motivate and work effectively with a variety of people.

 

Responsibilities

 Responsibilities

  • Provide PeopleSoft functional consulting services by serving as a Student Records Academic Advising subject matter expert and leading clients throuth the system development lifecycle
  • Lead and conduct Needs Assessment (fit/gap) for Student Records/ Academic Structure/Academic Advising to determine business requirements and document the various business requirements in the requirement tracking document, as necessary
  • Support the ongoing implementation and configuration of Student Records/Academic Structure/Academic Advising and create a configuration guide to document the setup implemented
  • Create test scripts and test scenario documents
  • Assist clients in integrating the Student Records/Curriculum Management /Academic Advising system into their business environment and provide solid direction for best practices
  • Advise clients on options, risks, and impacts on other processes and systems
  • Identify any interfaces needed and create functional design documents
  • Identify any reports needed and create necessary functional design documents (if required)
  • Create queries and pivot grids to supportreporting needs where appropriate.
  • Identify any modifications/extensions needed and create necessary functional design documents including required CCC reporting, with an emphasis on use of delivered functionality where possible.
  • Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Complete status reports for project managers/clients
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve the process of delivering solutions
  • Share knowledge to continually improve implementation methodology

 

Preferred (optional):

  • Identify opportunities to create, improve and implement innovative services that support student success.
  • Completed prior implementation processes in the Academic Advising Module.
  • Providing assistance with updates to security permission lists.
  • Conducted Fit-gap analysis sessions for Academic Advising and related modules.

 

 

Qualifications

Experience (must have):

  • Minimum of five years PeopleSoft experience
  • PeopleSoft 9.0 experience or higher
  • Upgrade and implementation experience
  • Ability to work on all project phases: Project Preview, Fit/Gap Analysis, Setup and Testing, Production Support
  • Solid experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions full lifecycle implementations as a functional lead in any one of the following modules: Student Records, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Student Financials, or Admissions
  • Solid understanding of all student records processes and reports, intermediate skills in PS Query, 3C Engine, BI Publisher, Rules Engine
  • Upgrade and implementation experience

Preferred (optional):

  • Minimum of ten years PeopleSoft Student Records/Academic Structure /Academic Advising experience
  • PeopleSoft 9.2 experience
  • Solid experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Records /Academic Advising module with full lifecycle implementations as a functional lead
  • Proficient with advanced skills in PS Query, 3C Engine, BI Publisher, Rules Engine
