COUNTRY Financial is seeking successful Senior Project Managers with strong Project Management experience in support of major initiatives within Property and Casualty area of Business.

Property and Casualty area offers exciting opportunities for result oriented Project Managers to work hand in hand with the Business units to manage and deliver projects. This provides an exciting opportunity to work with Product Managers, Modeling, Actuary, Process Analysts along with IT to deliver new and innovative Insurance Product changes that directly impact the Customers and Agency Sales force. 

This role defines project scope, goals, deliverables and resources that support Property and Casualty goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones. Tracks project milestones and deliverables. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areas. Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones; tracks project milestones and deliverables. 
  • Develop Project Charter, Scope, Stakeholders and Project Team Organization 
  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areas. 
  • Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Managing business deliverables and activities for Insurance product changes in the Property and Casualty area.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of project experience in Property and Casualty. Experience with Farm and Commercial products will be a plus. 
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience with MS Project and MS Project Web Access or Primavera.
  • Excellent organization, written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of project management or related experienceOR,
  • Master’s degree and at least 6 years of project management or related experienceOR,
  • At least 10 years of project management or related experience.
  • At least 1 year of lead experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.
