PayrollProcessing Manager



  • Manage the processing of a timely and accurate multi- cycle, multi-state and international payroll for 15,000+ domestic and international employees consistent with the Federal and State wage and hour laws, Service Contract Act, international laws, CBAs and/or employee agreements, garnishments, and leave processing, and related banking transactions.
  • Manage a team of six with two direct reports
  • Contribute in all facets of payroll processing including timecard processing, payroll calculation, leave accruals, and general ledger posting, and banking
  • Partner with HR, Program Operations, Benefits, Finance, and Accounting to identify and review items with cross-departmental impacts
  • Review and analyze current labor, leave, and payroll  procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
  • Participate in testing system updates, on-boarding acquisitions, new contract setup and implementation of Payroll requirements
  • Provide Payroll and eTime training & support for new contracts
  • Troubleshoot Payroll, labor, and leave issues while providing excellent and timely customer service
  • Develop COGNOS reports to manage and review payroll related information for analysis and audits
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to Payroll


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, business or related field preferred
  • 7 years of payrollexperiencerequired
  • 5 years of payroll supervisory experiencepreferred
  • Deltek CostPoint experiencepreferred
  • CPP designation a plus
  • Experience interpreting Union Contracts a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Prior transition/system conversion experience a plus
  • COGNOS Query Studio experience a plus
