As an integral member of the Finance Team, the Payroll Manager works closely with the Benefits and HR team to manage and process payroll in a timely manner and resolve payroll discrepancies. All W2O employees are currently working remote; once the offices re-open, this position will work in our Florham Park, NJ office. ResponsibilitiesManage and process US semi-monthly payroll cycle for over 1,500 multi-state employees including, but not limited to: new hires, benefit deductions, retro pay, terminations, tax changes, 401k, garnishments, etc.
Manage US Payroll Analyst and coordinate with payroll team in the London and third-party payroll service in Zurich.
Manage payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state and federal tax law.
Review payroll processes, identifying and recommending areas to streamline and optimize.
Manage all payroll reporting, including reconciliations and audits, identifying and communicating any discrepancies or changes to senior Finance leadership.
Partner with the Accounting Team on month-end and year-end closings.
Manage 401K, being main point of contact with vendor and responsible for remittance of 401K contributions and compliance auditing/ reporting.
Manage and perform all other required and ad hoc audits, including Worker compensation.
Manage Workday and ADP integration interfaces, ensuring accurate information and benefits deductions, collaborating with the Benefits and HR Team as necessary.
Ensure employee time cards are accurate for timely processing using ADP Workforce Now & NetSuite OpenAir module.
Manage ad hoc projects for senior Finance leadership, the rest of the Finance Team, as well as Benefits and HR Team.
Provide excellent and timely customer service to employees with questions about their pay and deductions.
Knowledge and Critical Skills/ExpertiseExtensive knowledge of ADP Workforce Now – Payroll & Time and Attendance; working knowledge of Workday.
Working knowledge of ADP General Ledger and Tax Compliance.
Advanced proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint.
Knowledge of payroll reporting and compliance requirements for multi-state payroll.
