The purpose of this position is to manage the preparation and distribution of the biweekly payroll and maintain time and labor distribution records for all Solix Inc Companies. This position administers the workforce management system for timekeeping and monitors employee compliance of the company's time and attendance policies. The incumbent must have extensive payroll experience, including managing complex and multi-state payrolls, strong payroll, and workforce management (WFM) expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare regular/annual incentive payrolls for Solix Inc Companies, the calculation of taxable gross wages including but not limited to awards, relocation benefits, and company car allowances; the calculation and payment of garnishments, reconciliation of all withholdings and accruals; including benefits, employer and employee taxes, 3rd party sick, deductions and withholdings and ensure that employee checks and direct deposits are issued within the required time schedule.

  • Manage the monitoring, validation, and entry of time data into the WFM system. Manage time tracking solutions. Ensure effective and consistent time reporting. Monitor and ensure the accuracy and compliance with the company’s time and attendance policies by overseeing employee time and attendance reporting for Solix Inc Companies and following up with HR, employees, and supervisors as needed.

  • Ensure the company is compliant with all local, state and federal payroll rules and regulations by proactively researching the treatment of wages and taxes such as multiple tax jurisdictions, garnishments, temporary government programs, etc. Perform research for changes to wage tax and other related legislation impacting the payroll.

  • Provide payroll related information to internal stakeholders to ensure the proper recording of payroll liability and expense accounting, project recording and benefit related withholding information.

  • Collaborate with employees and management to communicate various payroll related policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations. Supporting and being responsive to audit requests.

  • Manage the configuration and administration of the Dayforce system and payroll reporting. Maintain standard reports from the Dayforce system as they relate to payroll.

  • Manage the setup and maintenance of state unemployment and disability accounts for new and existing employee work locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least seven years of related experience; or at least ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certified Payroll Professional –CPP Required

  • Seven years of progressively responsible payroll experience; Automated Payroll System experience. At least four years of Multi-state Payroll processing Experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and Outlook and Expert Knowledge in Dayforce or other similar systems.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems including report writing and maintenance

  • Knowledge of Paid Time Off, Leave of Absence, and Disability policies, and overtime rules is highly desired

  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and tax-related Federal, State and Local laws, including FLSA/overtime/wage and hour

Other Information:

  • No relocation benefits will be provided.

  • 5% travel is required.

  • Ability to work outside of regular schedule to meet payroll deadlines and customer needs
