Kforce has a client in search of a Payroll Manager in Gainesville, TX. Summary: The Payroll Manager is a key member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for payroll for multiple locations across the US and Canada. The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading, organizing, and directing the payroll team in the execution of the payroll, benefit deductions, and reconciliation, tax, and internal and other external reporting for staff and employees in each of the various legal entities within the US and Canada. Duties include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Manage the operations of Time and Payroll and associated staff to ensure the highest levels of reliability and performance
  • Oversee and perform day to day activities and prioritize projects within the department
  • Provide strong leadership through motivation and accountability to a team of individuals with various levels of expertise
  • Responsible for all facets of multi-state, multi-company payrolltax processing in both US and Canada, system maintenance and reporting in compliance with all regulatory and governing agencies as well as company policies and procedures
  • Oversee and support all internal and external audits related to time and payroll
  • Manage internal customer relationships, 3rd party vendor relationships and service contracts with vendors in order to maximize performance, overall reliability, and the economic value received from those vendors
  • Manage and guarantee payments for the company's compensation programs, garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
  • Ensure correct calculations and processing of payments for benefits to the various benefit providers Including, but not limited to health insurance, disability, 401k, and other related programs and employee benefits


  • 7-10 years of payrollexperience
  • Tax and Department of Labor laws knowledge
  • Ceridian, UltiPro
